The DATV-Express website was started when a small group of radio amateurs decided to build some low cost components to be used by amateur radio operators throughout the world. There were two such components that were created and sold in the past:
- DATV-Express Transmitter Board — Due to very low demand and parts this board is no longer available. We are maintaining documentation for the board on this website.
- MiniTiouner-Express Receiver Assembly — As of October 18, 2018 we have exhausted current production. But as for the transmitter board, we are maintaining documentation for the assembly on this website.
The current development effort by the DATV-Express team is the VersaTune-Express Receiver Assembly. The development was hit hard by COVID-19 due to parts unavailability. Software work continues now that hardware is ready but some of the project goals have not been met so software is currently looking at solutions to the problems.
